Populate

Add a Name, Description, Owner, or Pole Number to a Particular Device

From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab select the Populate command to display the following dropdown:

Populate Data

Used to populate information in the “out of the box” OpenComms copper feature attribute fields.

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab click on the Populate Data command icon.
  2. Select a device on the copper route. A Device Data dialog box opens:

  3. Key in information such as name, description, owner, and pole number. The information can be posted on the map by selecting one or more of the POST buttons.
  4. Place the information being posted on the map near the entity it describes.
  5. Click OK when completed.

Populate Sheath Info

Post sheath information on the map.

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab click on the Populate Sheath Info command icon.
  2. The Select Sheath Info Cell window opens. Select a Cell from the pull-down menu.
  3. Select the span on the drawing where a sheath information is being added. You are prompted in the command windows to locate length / Text / Reset to set Angle. Specify the sheath information angle and the position where to place it on the map.

Update Sheath Information

Select Single to update only one sheath on the map. Select All to update all the sheaths on the map.

Populate Terminal Info

Post Terminal information on the map.

  1. From the Modify/Delete section of the Copper Tab click on the Populate Terminal Info command icon.
  2. Select the terminal on the drawing where terminal information is missing. You are prompted to specify the terminal information angle and the position where to place it on the map.

Update Terminal Information

Select Single to update only one Terminal information cell on the map. Select All to update all Terminal information cells on the map.
